Hromada and Greenpeace Ukraine Announce Memorandum of Understanding to Support Renewable Energy in Ukrainian Communities

For Immediate Release

Washington, D.C., and Kyiv. June 12, 2026 – Hromada Inc. and Greenpeace Ukraine have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to collaborate on identifying, verifying, and developing distributed renewable energy projects across Ukrainian municipalities.

The partnership pairs Hromada’s grassroots model with Greenpeace Ukraine’s established local presence. By helping communities rebuild critical infrastructure, such as hospitals, schools, and water systems, with locally owned renewable energy, the collaboration will strengthen transparency and accountability for international donors.

“This is a decisive step toward a truly green reconstruction,” said Natalia Gozak, Office Director of Greenpeace Ukraine, and Thomas Protzman, Executive Director of Hromada Inc., in a joint statement.
